Silver Anniversary!

Last night, we went to the Urban Country Silver Anniversary Celebration and silent auction.

Urban Country decked out its home furnishings boutique in Bethesda Row in all pink to celebrate its 25th anniversary and raise money for local breast cancer health services. We snapped Urban Country co-owner Jillian Roth, founder and owner Rachelle Roth, and co-owner Sascha Roth flanking event emcee Tommy McFly, host of The Tommy Show on 94.7 Fresh FM, and The Power of Pink executive director Karen Leder.

The anniversary party served as a benefit for The Power of Pink—a fundraising group dedicated to raising funds for local organizations that provide breast health services to women, regardless of their ability to pay. This year’s anniversary event was even more significant since Rachelle was diagnosed with breast cancer in August 2015. She is in remission and back to her normal routine at Urban Country. Here, the Power of Pink committee—Lisa Schneiderman, Sue-Ann Siegel, Shelly Galli, Michelle Pablo.

Numerous local and national home furnishing brands are donating a variety of items for the silent auction, including merchandise and gift baskets provided by Bethesda Row and DC-area boutiques, restaurants and other local retailers. Here, Jewish Primary Day School’s Chloe Schklowsky and her husband, Herndon High School’s Raphael Schklowsky, with their adorable babies Josephine and Isabella
