The bash kicked off with tunes mixed by DJ Ben Chang, bocce ball and cornhole sets, treats from local food truck partners, beer, local favorite Howard Gospel Choir and a special headlining performance by Michigan’s Greensky Bluegrass. Here, event producers from Bobby Redd John Winkler, Brant Mueller, Brianne Mueller, Whitney Mueller and James Zinkand.

Party-goers got to snack on sweet treats from Dog Tag Bakery, a local, nonprofit veteran job-training vehicle and café selling baked goods. Here, Howard Gospel Choir's Steve Pierre-Louis, Rolanda Carter, Kristen Taylor and Stephen Moore.

The block party also served as the official launch of the brand’s newest collaboration with FEED, a hunger relief charity. FEED + Shinola is a limited run of 170 tote bags benefiting Forgotten Harvest in the Detroit Metro Area. The purchase of each $195 bag will provide 100 meals to children and families in need. Here, Greensky Bluegrass perform.
