We headed to Mess Hall in Brookland for New Kitchens on the Block! We snapped Salesforce's Danielle Vermazen with Mess Hall founder Al Greenberg, Duke's Grocery managing partner Daniel Kramer and Mess Hall's Amanda Smith.
Guests enjoyed tastings and cocktails from seven new restaurant concepts that have yet to open. Enjoying Rooster & Owl's Pork Fried Rice and Shadowlawn's Crispy Pig Ears, consultant Mike McManus joins Rokk Solutions partner Rodell Mollineau, Revolution Agency's Sheena Arora and the American Bankers Association's Catherine Barnard.
Colada Shop's Alex Perez with operating partner Daniella Senior, and Santiago and Andres Croci with their media director, Maru Valdes. The Cuban restaurant concept previewed Cuban treats croquetas and guava pastelitos with refreshing peanut butter Negroni.
Federal consultant Jacob Goldstein and The Jefferson Hotel's Meredith Craig enjoying Snow Cones made with Potomac Distilling Co's Tiki Punch called "I Long for Turkoise Water" made with their special three-year El Dorado Rum. The Eat Good Food Group also featured Filipino-style chicken wings, which we can all enjoy when their restaurant opens at District Wharf.
Here Gravitas chef/owner Matt Baker and Lindsay Jordan join Vanish Beer's Hilda Staples. Gravitas treated guests to a brioche-crusted Maryland Blue Crab and a delicious blackberry and mint gimlet.
