Last night we went to innoMAYtion Celebration. It was held at local digital innovation firm Social Driver. We snapped CEO and founder Thomas Sanchez, who hosted, with DC DMPED's Andrew Trueblood and Karima Woods, and DC Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development Brian Kenner, who talked about how to grow the DC tech sector.
The event marked the conclusion of innoMAYtion, a monthlong initiative showcasing DC's inclusive innovation ecosystem. Here, DC Office of Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development’s Joaquin McPeek with Greater Washington Hispanic Chamber of Commerce CEO Angela Franco and colleague Susana Marino.
Over 100 DC tech leaders heard from Rep. Eleanor Holmes Norton, who highlighted the federal role in advancing DC’s tech policies. She's surrounded by The District of Creatives’ Afrika Bell Kathuria and Shop Nikou’s Nikou Golchin.
