Cancer Schmancer With Fran Drescher!
Last night, we went to Fran Drescher: The Cancer Schmancer Movement and Women’s Role in Reshaping Unhealthy Lifestyles at the Woman’s National Democratic Club.
We snapped Fran Drescher, best known for her role as Fran Fine in the hit TV series The Nanny, with Cancer Schmancer executive director Susan Holland.
Guests got to hear from Fran, an actress, activist and founder of Cancer Schmancer, who spoke about the role of women in reshaping American families' unhealthy lifestyle that is at the root of most diseases. Here, Woman's National Democratic Club VP for programs David Hoffman with Washington Opera Society president Barbara Bennett.
Cancer Schmancer offers a plan to detox one's home, as well as a way to engage and redirect irresponsible manufacturing trends through consumerism. Here, Venezuelan human rights lawyer Fabiola Delgado, DC DNC committee member and Candon Law Offices partner MaryEva Candon, and Powell Tate's Ashley Lewis.
The Cancer Schmancer program also focuses on early cancer detection, prevention and policy change. Here, WNDC's Patricia Fitzgerald and Ina Descartes with Trout Design Studio's Michael Beidler.
