We went to a book launch for Emily Giffin on the roof of the new luxury apartment building in Dupont Circle, The Hepburn. Here, APIC’s Hannah Andrews, Champagne and Blue Jeans’ Lindsay Emow and life and style blogger Laura Lehman. 

The event featured a book signing and summer cocktail party to celebrate the launch of Emily's latest novel, First Comes Love, which introduces a pair of sisters who find themselves at a crossroads. Guests enjoyed specialty cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, a DJ, a signed copy of the book, a Q&A with Giffin, and a gift bag filled with goodies. Guests also got to tour The Hepburn’s “The Lookout” rooftop deck space featuring their much-buzzed-about, 6-foot Naval vessel binoculars. The Hepburn is a Lowe Enterprises development. Here, Supreme Court of the United States' Sarah Woessner, Homer Center's Celeste Keefe and LuLaRoe's Erin Saiani.

Emily, dubbed a “modern day Jane Austen” by Vanity Fair, has penned seven New York Times best-selling novels, all filled with endearingly flawed characters and emotional complexity. They have sold 11 million copies in print worldwide and the first, Something Borrowed, became a movie starring Kate Hudson.
