DC Jazz Fest!
We headed to the DC Jazz Festival's 12th annual Opening Embassy Reception at the Embassy of France. We snapped its Board of Directors, Sunny Sunter, LCG Systems' Conrad Kenley, Mary Haft, Pillsbury Law's Peter Gillon and Chantel Ray Real Estate's Michelle Galler.
DCJF celebrates jazz by presenting concerts in DC with internationally renowned and emerging jazz artists. Its concerts continue through June 19. Here, Howard University Radio WHUR 96.3's Darlene Jackson, Hector Hannibal and Marjorie Scandrett.
The sold-out reception allowed guests to mingle while enjoying sips from the open bar and bites of beets with feta cheese, seafood salad cups and assorted cheeses. Here, Jan Rieger, The Advisory Board's Grace Rieger, Sage Communications' Scott Greenberg and Washington Ballet's Morgann Rose.
After the reception guests enjoyed "The Lafayette Suite" jazz concert featuring French pianist Laurent Coq and American saxophonist Walter Smith III, which symbolizes the French-American friendship.
