Columbia Heights Tree Lighting!

Saturday night, we headed to the Columbia Heights Civic Plaza for the annual Columbia Heights Tree Lighting Extravaganza! We snapped members of the community and neighbors affiliated with the Columbia Heights Initiative as they gathered to celebrate the holiday season.

In addition to the tree lighting, attendees enjoyed music from local school groups, hot chocolate and an opportunity to meet with Santa. Here, members of the Harriet Tubman Elementary School choir perform "Deck The Halls" and other holiday songs.

Attendees also heard from the percussion band from the Columbia Heights Education Campus.
