Capital Food Fight!
Last night we also headed to DC Central Kitchen's 12th annual Capital Food Fight at the Ronald Reagan Building, hosted by Chef Jose Andres and Carla Hall. One of the year's top events, the Iron Chef-style battle pitted four local chefs: Centrolina's Amy Brandwein, BRABO's Harper McClure, Masseria's Nick Stefanelli and Indique's K.N. Vinod. We snapped ACME Paper's Randi Liffman and Scott Attman, Pandora's Donna Attman, and Congressional Seafood's Adam Roth.
A High Stakes Cakes competition hosted by Charm City Cakes' Duff Goldman had competitors decorate a cake in the theme of the power of volunteering. Here, CPR Multimedia's Jeff Studley and Holly Star, Werres' Rick Sanford and Textron's Taylor Corydon.
75 restaurants featured their delicious menu items, such as the Fainting Goat's scallops crudo with brown butter, 1789's Peking duck confit taco, and Tico's housemade chorizo.
