Butterfly Bash!

Placeholder

Last week, we went to the second annual Butterfly Bash at the Woodmont Country Club in Rockville. Snapped are event founder Nikki Herson Eberstein, flanked by her parents Mona Bobrow and Jerry Herson. Nikki founded the event last year to raise awareness and research funds for Cockayne Syndrome, which afflicts her 6-year-old daughter, Jamison. Cockayne is an extremely rare genetic condition that causes poor growth, developmental and neurological delays and most devastating, a shortened life span.

Last year, proceeds from the event funded the start of a new research study and this year it will fund human participation. The theme of the bash was "enchanted forest," complete with a wishing well where guests could write personalized notes to CS kids. Here, The Tower Cos' Shari Abramson, MCR's Kelly Pashkoff, Nikki, and the Henry M. Jackson Foundation's Shari Shaw.
