We went to BUILD Metro DC's 8th Annual Holiday Sales Bazaar at Blind Whino. We snapped Cambridge Associates’ Peyton Lausch, The Advisory Board Co’s Lori Frazier and Accenture’s Christina Nixon.
Guests could get a jump-start on holiday shopping as they checked out BUILD Metro DC's sophomore and junior high school entrepreneurs who debuted their new products, which were for sale. Here, Friendship Collegiate Academy’s Tashik Faruq, Out of the Blue’s Cathy Driver, BUILD mentor and Cambridge Associates’ James Russo, and former BUILD mentor and Money Tree’s Anna-Marie Ashe.
Through entrepreneurship-based, experiential learning, BUILD helps ensure that all students, regardless of background, have the opportunity to develop the skills necessary for success. Among the items sold by the students were Fresh Paws (organic dog treats), specially made children's books, and Lock-it Socks, so you don't lose your socks in the washer.
