Toast to the Queen!
Last night we also went to Barcode to send off Mrs. DC in style with a champagne toast at the third annual Toast with the Queen reception. Mrs. District of Columbia America 2014 Meredith Egwuatu, whom we snapped with her best friend Erica Cardona, will compete in the Mrs. America pageant in Tucson at the end of the month.
Guests enjoyed hors d’oeuvres and drinks while they mingled with guests such as Miss DC Sweetheart Amelia Wolf, who's bookended by event hosts W Salon's Souny West and Fitness Together-Georgetown Stacy Adams.
A portion of ticket sales went to Luke's Wings, which unites wounded warriors with their loved ones. Its team members (right) Jennifer Magerer, Emily Neufeld, and Lindsay Gill are with Mrs. DC America Pageant exec producer Raquel Riley Thomas and Lowes Island Dentistry's Dr. Uzma Ansari.
