Duke Zeibert Award!

Last night we also headed to the Duke Zeibert Capital Achievement Award Announcement Reception at the historic Carnegie Library. Named after the legendary restaurateur who turned DC into a lively dining destination, the Duke Zeibert award is presented annually by RAMW to a dedicated culinary leader. We snapped the honoree Lynne Breaux, who will formally receive the award at the RAMMYs in June. She’s surrounded by Guest Services’s Kris Rohr, and by Visit Fairfax’s Sue Porter and National Cherry Blossom Festival’s Diana Mayhew.

Guests enjoyed Boxwood Estate wines and Magic Hat Dream Machine beers. Here, Profish’s Greg Casten, restaurant PR maven Linda Roth, and Eagle Bank’s Bob Pincus.

Mayor Vincent Gray and RAMW announced the honoree and spoke about Lynne’s passion, advocacy and wealth of experience in the restaurant and hotel industry and as a restaurateur. Here, Events DC CEO Greg O’Dell and RAMW’s Kyle Rees.

The celebration included a delicious spread of cheeses, roasted vegetables and hors d’oeuvres like mini crab cakes, pear and brie phyllo, and chicken saltimbocca. Here, The Liberty Tavern’s Stephen Fedorchak, Republic National Distributing Co’s John Linette, and The Hamilton and Old Ebbitt Grill’s David Moran.
