50 Ways To Wear Denim!
We headed to Swampoodle in DC's 16th Street Heights neighborhood for the 50 Ways to Wear Denim book signing with author and illustrator Lauren Friedman. You can follow Lauren's amazing fashion sketches at her blog, My Closet in Sketches.
Guests enjoyed happy-hour-priced cocktails as they mingled and requested signed copies of the latest book. Here, Save The Children's Jana Spacek joins Georgetown Hospital's Catherine Spaulding, attorney Taylor Owings and Georgetown Hospital's Devin Gilhuly.
50 Ways to Wear Denim is Lauren's second book, following the success of her first published guide: 50 Ways to Wear a Scarf. Here, friend Maria Lopez joins architect Mary Kalmes with her author daughter and statistician Jasen Taciak.
Later on in the event, guests participated in a raffle for prizes, including an original sketch that kicked off the book's development. Here, SageWater's Scott Seel joins friend of the author Kristie Hansen and GW grad student Roman Tirado.
