Chad Tiedemann, Holland & Knight

Placeholder

Chad focuses on developers and money sources (such as pension funds and life companies) as well as lender work. In short: helping buy, sell, recapitalize and JV. Before practicing real estate law, Chad spent a year doing international trade and aviation. Then he heard of an opportunity at a real estate syndicator, where he spent a few years. He's been with H&K for about 20 years, currently repping International Finance Corp. in buying a site owned by Professional Associations. First there will be a sale of 2100 K St (once the current tenant leases expire), and IFC will immediately enter into a ground lease and lease the property back to PA, which will build the new office building and enter into a space lease with IFC. (Whew.) When built, it will be connected to the IFC HQ that occupies the rest of the square. He repped Monument Realty in a build-to-suit project for Boeing at Monument View. His hard-working ethos started early: he mowed lawns and shoveled snow to earn money to pay for Boy Scout trips to Philmont in New Mexico and the World Jamboree Japan. His daughter must have inherited it; she's a 1L at Harvard.
