A 701 Restaurant regular customer was moving away, so what did Jeremy do? He planned a happy hour with nine cocktails based on her life. That’s how far he’s willing to go to make sure patrons have a warm and personalized experience when he’s behind the bar. The former Navy IT tech doesn’t work off a cocktail menu too often, although there is one at both The Oval Room and 701 Restaurant. “Lists are boring; I’d rather create something for a specific palate,” he tells us. We told him to fire up a whiskey drink with some heat to it, and he did just that. His impressive library of cocktail books and commitment to research helps him make drinks on the fly.
