Chick-fil-A is continuing to spread its wings in D.C. with a new outpost near Dupont Circle

The popular chicken chain signed on with Douglas Development for a 15-year lease at 1214 18th St. NW, the Washington Business Journal reports

The retailer will replace MIA Lounge and occupy a 5,298 SF space between the ground floor and the basement. It will sit below Public Bar, which occupies the second and third levels, and next door to burger chain Shake Shack. The building is roughly two blocks south of the Dupont Circle Metro station's southern entrance.

The location will be Chick-fil-A's ninth in the D.C. area. It opened earlier this year in the Union Station food court. Last year, it opened on Maryland Avenue NE, just south of H Street, and agreed to open at the Shops at Dakota Crossing in Northeast D.C.
