Ramsey Meiser, a key figure in developing The Yards around Nationals Park for Forest City Washington, is moving to Bethesda to become SVP of mixed-use development for Federal Realty Investment Trust.

In his new role at Federal, he will manage the company’s mixed-use development pipeline in the Mid-Atlantic region, with an initial focus on Phase 2 of the Pike & Rose development in North Bethesda, GlobeSt reports. Phase 1 of the 24-acre development came in at a cost of $250M and included 180k SF of retail, apartments and an eight-screen iPic theater. Phase 2 is set to deliver another 200k SF in early 2017 and will include additional apartments, a lifestyle hotel and Pinstripes, a unique dining and entertainment venue.

This past summer, Federal Realty opened and began leasing The Pallas, one of the high-rise apartment buildings at Pike & Rose. The 319-unit building offers luxury apartments ranging from studios to three-bedrooms. [GS]
