Former C&W US President Joins FD Stonewater Board

Former Cushman & Wakefield US president Bill Magner, a veteran of DC commercial real estate for decades, has joined the board of advisors of Arlington-based boutique firm FD Stonewater.

Bill joined the firm’s board on Jan. 1 and will take an active role in the company’s ongoing expansion, with a special emphasis on growing the investor base within FD’s nationwide platforms. Bill left C&W in December 2014, before its billion-dollar merger with DTZ. Here we snapped him with C&W's Brian Dawson and Audrey Cramer.

“Bill is a longtime friend of the firm and has been a valued partner and mentor to many of us throughout our careers," FD Stonewater principal David Alperstein says.

Prior to serving with C&W, Bill was an international director for JLL and Spaulding & Slye. He was a managing partner of the entire DC region with Spaulding & Slye prior to the firm’s acquisition by JLL. He left C&W at the same time as Jim Underhill, who is on the board of Cresa and is chairman of the board of commercial real estate tech startup Create.
