Wayne Curry (1951-2014).

The greater Washington community lost a strong political and business voice last week when former Prince George's County Executive Wayne Curry passed away at the age of 63. A real estate lawyer by training, the Brooklyn-born and Cheverly-raised official was involved in the creation of FedEx Field, a balanced county budget, and the growth of National Harbor, where we snapped him speaking at a Bisnow event just last summer.

And here's Wayne at our 2011 Prince George's event (with Petrie Ross chairman Walt Petrie). After leaving office in '02, Wayne became president of NAI Michael, the local real estate firm where he had also worked before getting into politics.
