Last Night at i Ricchi

Washington, D.C. Other

We stopped by i Ricchi on 19th Street for the monthly meeting of the Dynamic Executive Women's Dinner (yes, that's DEWD for short), where we found a couple of CRE-ers, Serten Advisors' Renee Weir and superlawyer Maureen Dwyer of Goulston & Storrs, flanked by Mentor Foundation USA chief Gunilla Girardo and InterImage CEO Leslie Steele. Tenant rep guru Renee has just joined Serten's Vienna office after years with Cassidy Turley and will handle deals across the region.

Here's the restaurant's namesake, chef Chris Ricchi (second from left) with interior painter Lenore Winters, KAP Group president Kimberley Person, and Technology Executive Group's Sarah McCullough. Chris tells us she just signed a long-term lease to remain at the 19th Street spot, where the restaurant has been for 26 years. The space will soon undergo a big interior renovation, including a new coffee and breakfast bar and remade outdoor plaza. Lenore, who helped Chris design the frescos when the restaurant opened, is helping with the renovation.
