Transwestern has brought on a new executive to lead its property management team with a focus on integrating the company's management and leasing operations.

Heather Nevin is coming over from Gensler, where she served as the regional leader for technology clients. She will lead a property management team at Transwestern that oversees 25M SF of assets. Transwestern executive managing director Phil McCarthy said Nevin's background with a design firm is exactly what he was looking for.

"We really want to change the industry and you can’t do that with people that are continuing to think the same way," McCarthy said. "We’ve always thought you need someone to shake it up and she’s going to shake up our company and shake up the industry."

In addition to running the property management operation, Nevin will spend time working with the leasing team on a project to help clients reposition Class-B space.

McCarthy said clients in today's market want better synergy between the property management and leasing services, which Nevin's addition will help the firm achieve.
