NRC Hunts for New Digs in Montgomery, Prince George's County

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission is looking for a new space when its lease at Two White Flint expires in December 2018. The agency is seeking a 15-year lease for up to 348k SF at an alternative building in Montgomery or Prince George's County. This is just one of several long-term leases GSA needs to address soon, but this lease in particular has an interesting history, GlobeSt reports. In December 2013, when the House of Representatives learned that the NRC needed less space because it didn't grow as fast as expected, the House almost kicked the agency out of the building, but settled on a compromise. Landlords have until May 15 to respond to the pre-solicitation. [GlobeSt]
