Fannie Mae is unloading Fairfax County properties ahead of its planed consolidation at Boston Properties' Reston Gateway development.

The mortgage financier sold two office buildings in Herndon and one in Reston for over $130M combined, the Washington Business Journal reports

A JV of MRP Realty and Artemis Real Estate Partners acquired 13100 and 13150 Worldgate Drive in Herndon from Fannie Mae for over $40M. An affiliate of Wheelock Street Capitol bought 11600 American Dream Way in Reston for over $90M.

Fannie Mae retained Cushman & Wakefield in March to market the three buildings, which total over 750K SF. It will lease the buildings back until 2022 when it moves to an 850K SF space at Boston Properties' new development near Reston Town Center.

Fannie Mae also recently shifted its corporate headquarters in D.C. from Wisconsin Avenue to Carr Properties' $650M Midtown Center development at 15th and L streets NW.
