A rendering of Boston Properties' planned development at 2100 Pennsylvania Ave. NW, where WilmerHale signed on for 288K SF
Boston Properties is close to landing an anchor for the 11-story Foggy Bottom office project it has planned.
WilmerHale, the fourth-largest law firm in DC, is in talks to lease about 300K SF at the planned development, the Washington Business Journal reports.
The developer is partnering with George Washington University, which owns the land, to develop a 454K SF building at 2100 Pennsylvania Ave. NW. The development will include at least 30K SF of retail.
Replacing an existing office building and an adjacent GWU dormitory, the development is slated to deliver in 2023, the same year WilmerHale's current lease at 1875 Pennsylvania Ave. NW expires.
Boston Properties and GWU also partnered on The Avenue, a mixed-use project across the street that delivered in 2012 and is anchored by a Whole Foods.
