Reston-based NVR has received the green light for a new condo development in Rosslyn.

The Arlington County Board has approved plans for a new building to replace the aging apartment complex at the corner of Key Boulevard and North Nash Street, ARLnow reports. Plans for the project from the parent company of Ryan Homes call for a six-story building with 63 units known as “Washington Vista,” which will replace the four-story, 33-unit Metro Rosslyn Apartments.

Washington Vista will include four affordable two-bedroom units and six three-story townhomes, with the remainder of the units to be completed as condos. The project sits across the street from the over $1 million-dollar plus condos at Turnberry Tower.

Additional community benefits will include a contribution of more than $103k to the Affordable Housing Investment Fund and on-site public art. The site at 1411 Key Blvd is just about three blocks from the Rosslyn Metro Station, and sits just across from Monday Properties’ proposed mixed-use development at 1401 Wilson Blvd. [ARL]
