MD Church Breaks Ground On New Sanctuary

Morning Star Baptist Church in Catonsville, MD, is constructing a new sanctuary thanks to finnacing from EagleBank and some existing debt. The new facility will be built at a new location on property the church already owns at Security Boulevard and Woodlawn Boulevard in the Security-Woodlawn section of Gwynn Oak. This 120-year-old church with a congregation of 3,800 worshipers is led by Bishop Dwayne C. Debnam. The new location, which will provide improved ingress/egress, parking and facilities, is only 3 miles from the church’s current location on Winters Lane in Catonsville. Itwill seat 1,500, almost twice as much as the current building. The project’s groundbreaking took place this past Saturday, March 26th.
