Years on the job: 5 as president; with company since ’87.
Company: Civil engineering, surveying, landscaping planning, urban design and landscape architecture; 100 employees, four offices.
Memorable project: Potomac Yard—been working on the project for over 28 years. Started career there and hopes to end it there.
Current project: The Altaire—renovation of existing office building at 400 Army Navy Dr. Providing civil engineering, surveying and entitlement for LCOR.
Grew up: Update NY, Ohio, Michigan and Wisconsin.
Childhood memory: Water skiing on frozen lakes of Wisconsin, using regular skis and cars.
Current home: Orleans, Va.
School: University of Wisconsin, Madison.
First job: Shoveling cow manure, showing cattle at State Fairs and landscaping with WW Brown Nursery Farms in Wisconsin.
Job in another life: Professional ski patroller—currently do it as a volunteer as director of the ski patrol for Whitetail Ski Resort.
Favorite app: Audible.
Favorite movie: The Great Escape.
Favorite restaurant: Home—loves to cook; wife shops and cleans up.
Favorite band: Talking Heads.
Favorite vacation spot: Oneida Lake. 
Favorite charity: TeacHaiti—provides education to impoverished children. Travels there annually since 2010 earthquake.
Hidden talent: Self-taught electrician and plumber.
Coast, desert, mountain: Mountains.
Drink of choice: Dewar’s on the rocks.
Couldn’t live without: Faith.
Family: Married to Natalie; six kids, two grandkids, two horses, one dog and three cats.
Hobbies: Skiing and horseback riding.
Biggest pet peeve: People not working as hard as they could.
Startling fact: Has delivered many calves.
