For Bankruptcy, To Close 105 Stores 
The newest victim of the ongoing wave of retail closures is not a department store, but a regional grocer. Green Bay, Wisconsin-based Specialty Retail Shops Holding Corp., along with its 11 subsidiaries, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection . Among its subsidiaries is Shopko, a chain of grocery stores primarily based in the Upper Midwest. Specialty Retail will close 105 Shopko stores in its attempt to cut operating costs and escape its mounting debt load.
