The Lenkin Co. Gets Financing To Demolish
Farragut Square Office, Build New Project
EagleBank has provided construction financing to The Lenkin Co. to demolish an existing 12-story, 150K SF office property located at 1050 17th St., NW within the Farragut Square business district, and construct a new Class-A trophy office building. The new building will total 154,702 SF and will offer 10 floors of trophy office space, ground floor retail and abundant parking. The building will also provide a tenant-only, spa-quality fitness center, a conditioned and secure bike room and a roof-top terrace/conference for tenant events. The current building was constructed by The Lenkin Co. in 1974. Clark Construction will be the general contractor. Gensler is the architect for this new LEED Gold building. The project site is .35-acres and is situated on the southwest corner of 17th and L Streets, adjacent to the Farragut North Metro Station, and just a few blocks from the White House.
