Millennial Developer Gets Financing For 4-Story Co-Living Project On H Street Corridor

EagleBank has provided a loan to 1336 H Street NE LLC, owned by developer Jay Gross, for the construction of an 8,029 SF mixed-use development on the 1300 block of H Street NE. The first floor and basement will be dedicated to commercial use – either restaurant or retail – while the second, third, and fourth floors will each provide a large ‘co-living’ space. Co-living is a modern form of housing where residents share common living space while maintaining their own bedrooms and bathrooms. Each floor’s co-living unit will total over 1,600 SF and provide five separate bedrooms and five bathrooms. Future residents will pay a flat fee per bedroom/bath rented which will include internet access, premium kitchen and bath appliances, plus a cleaning service for the common space.
