EagleBank Provides Financing For

Maryland And Virginia Milk Production

EagleBank provided financing to the Maryland & Virginia Milk Producers Cooperative Association, INC. (MD/VA MILK), which consisted of a new line of credit and term loan to provide ongoing working capital and to refinance capital expenditures previously financed under the line of credit. The loans were collateralized by the company’s assets, which included the company’s manufacturing plant in Laurel, MD. The organization is currently the 10th largest milk processor in the US, comprising 1,378 family dairy farmers across 12 states. The company owns and operates two fluid milk processing plants, one located in Landover, MD and the other in Newport News, VA, and two milk products (or ingredients) plants in Laurel, MD and Strasburg, VA. In total, they market 3.1 billion pounds of milk per year, and sell another 1.2 billion pounds a year to other processors.
