Cushman & Wakefield Exec Leaves To Become Principal At Avison Young
Avison Young is bolstering its D.C. corporate and government services teams with a new hire from Cushman & Wakefield.
William Evans, who has spent 26 years in the industry, has been named a principal at Avison Young and will work out of the firm's Northern Virginia office.
Most recently, Evans worked as executive managing director for Cushman & Wakefield, where he spent seven years. Prior to that, he worked as a real estate manager for several corporations, including Binswanger, Irving Group, Nextel and MCI Telecommunication.
At Avison Young, Evans will represent multi-market corporate clients and government agencies.
“I enjoyed working for my previous company and will be forever grateful for the opportunities that it afforded me,” Evans said in a release. “So, when I considered making a move, the list of potential companies was short – and I wasn't willing to compromise. Keys for me were a robust multi-discipline platform, people I knew and liked and, perhaps most importantly, a nimble company with an unyielding entrepreneurial drive. Avison Young was the only firm that checked all of those boxes.”
