The Popemobile is Landing in DC

Pope Francis is coming to DC and he's bringing his fancy hats and Popemobile with him. The Pontifex's only public appearance will be giving the Mass of Canonization at Catholic University's Basilicia of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception on Sept. 23, the day after visiting the White House and after giving mass at St. Matthew's Cathedral. He'll give a speech to a joint session of Congress the next day, the first pope to do so, reports DCist. After that, he'll jaunt up to New York, where he'll finally get a decent slice of pizza after three days away from Italy. While he's in town, though, he'll drive around in the beloved Popemobile, giving the president's motorcade a run for its money. [DCist]
