JBG Smith Taps CBRE's Dave Ritchey To Oversee Leasing

JBG Smith, the company that will be created by the $8.4B merger between The JBG Cos and Vornado/Charles E. Smith, just hired a top CBRE broker to oversee its leasing.

CBRE SVP Dave Ritchey will become EVP and director of commercial leasing at JBG Smith when the merger closes in Q2 2017, the Washington Business Journal reports.

In becoming an executive at a DC real estate giant, Dave will follow in the footsteps of his father, Boston Properties' Ray Ritchey. Dave leads the tech practice at CBRE, where he has been since 2010. Before that he was development director at Clark Realty Capital for five years, according to his LinkedIn profile. He began his career in 1999 at the CAC Group in San Francisco after graduating from Washington and Lee University.

He will now be responsible for leasing the portfolio of DC's largest real estate developer and office landlord, which will own 50 office properties totaling 11.8M SF, 18 multifamily properties with 4,451 units and 700k SF of other properties. It has the potential for another nearly 20M SF of total development, including under-construction projects and those in the long-term pipeline. [WBJ]
