Michael, a native of Swampscott, MA, manages a six-person team (average age is 29) at Penzance, responsible for office, multifamily, land acquisitions and development projects. The father of three says one of his most memorable projects was his first at Penzance--The Myerton, a 74-unit building in Arlington that was also the firm’s first multifamily acquisition. He helped close the bridge financing and six months later closed a 35-year HUD loan. He’s now working on the firm’s acquisition of 4040 N Fairfax and Carpool site in Ballston. The 4.1 site plan approval process will start in December for 330 Class-A multifamily units and ground-floor retail. Best lesson: Take a step back and appreciate the life you have.
