McLean Institution Changes Hands

J. Gilbert's, the McLean restaurant that's entertained locals since 1971, has sold for $6.2M, according to CBRE's Bill Prutting Sr., who repped both the seller and buyer. The sale, which actually closed just before the end of 2012 (but we've been waiting for a table before we could tell you), doesn't mean J. Gilbert's is leaving; Bill tells us the restaurant has a long-term lease.
