Washington, D.C.

Yesterday, Tahzoo cut the ribbon on its new 12k SF HQ at 1005 Seventh St. Ezra Co. SVP Ezra Weinblatt, here with Tahzoo director Gabi Macy, CEO Brad Heidemann, and COO Jason McDowell, says the deal was unique because he had two clients--Tahzoo and Contactually--looking for space; they had different requirements, but he was able to put them in the same building. (Contactually is subleasing 6k SF.) The space previously housed some of LivingSocial, but it had to consolidate its square footage in DC to cut back on expenses.

Tahzoo’s move quadruples its old space on M St. CEO Brad Heidemann tells us the 100-person company will add 20 people in the coming months. The new office allows the tech firm to put its name on the building and one of its DC clients--Blackboard--can be seen from Brad’s office window. Tahzoo, which designs online content for large companies like DIRECTV and Nationwide Insurance, needed a bigger DC HQ.
