Love In The Nonprofit Air

Placeholder

In honor of Valentine's Day, we're celebrating couples who work together in the association or nonprofit worlds. We'll kick off with Jeremy Edwards and Amy Nakamoto, who've been married since 2006 and run separate nonprofits that focus on kids and sports. Jeremy, 44, is executive director of SportsChallenge Summer Leadership Academy and Amy, 37, is executive director of DC SCORES. It was Jeremy's summer program that brought them together and they started dating in 2003. Eleven years later, they have three young sons. Amy says they've seen a lot of familiar faces who have spent time in both organizations. And Jeremy says even though they have similar jobs with all the challenges that come with a nonprofit, they have been able to carve out separate work styles. We want to hear from more couples who are working for an association or nonprofit. Reach out to Bisnow's Tania Anderson so we can feature you next week.
