Mainstreet Equity Corp founder and CEO Bob Dhillon (arguably boasting the best name in the biz) is offering to allocate at least 200 discounted rental apartment units in Surrey, Abbotsford, New Westminster, Saskatoon, Calgary, Edmonton and Lethbridge to house Syrian refugees, helping the federal government accommodate the 25,000 migrants it’s expecting by March. “As an immigrant to Canada, and an apartment owner, I felt compelled to do this for the refugees as they embark on the road to better lives in our beloved country,” says Bob, whose family immigrated to Canada from war-torn Liberia in the 1970s.
