Tim Hudak is quitting politics to become CEO of the Ontario Real Estate Association, effective later this year. OREA president Ray Ferris, noting the former Progressive Conservative party leader’s 20 years of public service and executive management experience, called him a “strong advocate” for homeowners and the issues supported by his association, which represents 64,240 brokers and salespeople across Ontario. Hudak (above right) served in three cabinet positions under premier Mike Harris, and as minister of consumer and business services worked with OREA to write the Real Estate Business Brokers Act and create the Real Estate Council of Ontario.
