Toronto Among Best Tech Cities In World - Report

Toronto is among the world’s best tech cities, according to a report by U.K. firm Savills World Research.

Toronto ranked No. 6 on Savills’ “Tech Cities 2017: The Cities At The Forefront Of Global Tech” report. Out of 22 cities, Toronto was the only Canadian city to make the list.

The top five were Austin, Texas, San Francisco, New York, London and Amsterdam. To create its list, Savills ranked each city across five categories: business environment, tech environment, city buzz and wellness, talent pool and real estate costs.

This is not the first time Toronto has ranked high in world city tech rankings. A  report earlier this year by Australian firm 2thinknow placed Toronto eighth on its annual list of best digital innovative cities.
