Saks Off Fifth Arrives In Brooklyn

Just last week, premium designer fashion outlet Saks Off Fifth opened a 32k SF store on the ground level of Liberty View Plaza at 850 3rd Ave.

Saks Off Fifth democratizes runway-ready outfits with its heavily discounted prices. In Brooklyn, it occupies a lovingly restored 102-year-old industrial building repositioned as a retail-industrial facility. Its arrival contributes to the trend of high-profile retailers snatching up and renovating old buildings, preserving their bones and historicity while installing updated infrastructure necessary to support operations.

The grand opening included a DJ, a ribbon-cutting ceremony, and $100 gift card giveaways to some lucky attendees.

CPEX represented the owner of 850 3rd Ave in the transaction. Bed Bath and Beyond and its three subsidiaries will occupy the upper-level retail space, and plan to open next month.
