Zoning changes for Walnut Creek's Shadelands Business Park could allow more options, including retail, restaurants and a hotel.

Walnut Creek's city council will consider the new uses next week. The office park, which landed a major tenant last month (at 2700 Ygnacio, above), is benefiting from amenities such as a free shuttle to the Pleasant Hill BART station and the 2016 opening of The Orchards at Walnut Creek shopping center, according to the San Francisco Business Times.

Submarkets such as Shadelands are also benefiting from the surging Bay Area economy, offering more bargain-priced rents. [SFBT]
