San Jose Poised to Cash in on Super Bowl Frenzy

It's countdown to one of the biggest weeks the Bay Area has seen in decades, and San Jose's calendar is already getting booked up with hot events. Here's the latest.

The SAP Center in downtown San Jose was just picked as official host site of Super Bowl Opening Night Monday, Feb. 1. San Jose will also be a stop on The 50 Tour: Champions of the Bay at St. James Park, where attendees can spot Super Bowl trophies on display. Wanna spy on players? San Jose will host the NFC Champion team at the Downtown Marriott Hotel and the team will practice at San Jose State University’s Spartan Stadium. The big game is expected to draw more than 1 million visitors to the Bay Area.
