Vulcan Sells Whole Foods-Anchored Retail To Weingarten For $65M

Weingarten Realty acquired the retail portion of the 2200 Westlake complex Downtown from Vulcan Real Estate for $65M. The buyer got nearly 74k SF of retail with Whole Foods Market as the anchor tenant, as well as 412 parking places.

Vulcan has been selling off Seattle assets lately—about $3B worth so far—and says it will use the proceeds to buy and develop in the Puget Sound region, reports the Puget Sound Business Journal. The nearby Pan Pacific Hotel wasn't part of this latest deal. [PSBJ]
