Co-working Outfit DeskHub Signs 18k SF Lease in Portland

DeskHub inked a lease for 18k SF at 334 NW 11th Ave in Portland’s Pearl District in Ziba’s former building, which previously housed tech companies and features a two-story lobby, skylights and an outdoor deck. Savills Studley's Ryan Bartos (here with colleague Matthew Coxhead) tells us demand for this kind of space is strong, with DeskHub expanding into several competitive markets. The space itself is well-configured for the company’s collaborative usage, allowing for the entrepreneurial culture that DeskHub encourages to thrive, adds Cushman & Wakefield's Matt Johnson.

DeskHub, which will open its Portland location in September, provides creative and collaborative workspace. Typical tenants, according to the company, will range from "solopreneurs" to teams of three to 10 individuals. Ryan and Matthew, along with Matt and his colleagues Mark Carnese, Doug Deurwaarder and Tom Usher, repped DeskHub in the deal. Apex Real Estate Partners' Rennie Dunn repped the building owner. DeskHub has selected Ronda Closner as the community curator for the new Portland office.
