Mercer Mega Block, 2.86 acres owned by the city in Seattle’s South Lake Union, will go on the market in July.

The site is the largest undeveloped piece of land in South Lake Union. It includes the properties at 800 Mercer St. and 620 Aurora Ave N. The 800 Mercer St. property is bounded by Mercer Street to the south, Roy Street to the north, Dexter Avenue to the west and Ninth Avenue to the east.

According to a city preliminary recommendation report filed Nov. 10, preference will be given to proposals with a minimum of 150 apartments maintained as affordable housing for at least 50 years. This housing would be above the city’s Mandatory Housing Affordability requirements and will not count toward multifamily tax exemption units.

JLL will market the property.
