Blackstone’s wholly owned subsidiary Equity Office sold the tower at 100 Montgomery St to a duo consisting of Vanbarton Group and a pension fund for $285M. Equity Office purchased the 25-story building from Hines in 2012 for $165M.

Vanbarton managing director William Bond told the San Francisco Business Times his company was drawn to the 429k SF property because of its close access to public transportation and high-demand amenities.

Blackstone and Equity Office have been active in San Francisco's Financial District, buying multiple properties in recent weeks. [SFBT]
