Bisnow Exclusive: Pandora Expands in Oakland

Pandora just expanded big time in Oakland, and we've got the exclusive.

The music giant just inked a 50k SF deal at 2100 Franklin, CM Commercial's Matt Currie tells us; he repped the sublandlord with colleague Bob Tasker (we told you East Bay was hot). Pandora will take possession of floors eight and nine right away and do their own build-out, converting the space to an open floor creative layout. It was formerly occupied by a pharma company, which is subleasing the space out. Now Pandora leases over 200k SF at the two-building site. Pandora just did a re-stack within the project, creating 50k SF "super plates" by taking out the wall between the two buildings. The lease is another example of the growing tech scene in Oakland, says Matt. CBRE repped Pandora.
